It looks like 2015 was a terrible year for Qualcomm and those who purchase their products. Since the company launched its Snapdragon 810 chipset on the market, consumers have been complaining of overheating issues.

Even though Qualcomm refused to recognize that its chipset is at fault and worked with handset makers to try and fix these issues, they couldn't be addressed in some cases.

The One M9 can be considered a victim of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 chipset, as many customers preferred other flagship smartphones over HTC's for fear of being affected by these overheating issues.

Sony Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z4 are two smartphones that are equipped with octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processors. This means that they are prone to overheat and there are many owners that complain of this major issue.

Even before the Xperia Z3+ made to the market, there were many reports coming from those who received prototype units for testing, which confirmed these overheating issues.

Fast forward a few weeks after Xperia Z3+'s launch on the market and it looks like the previous reports were completely accurate.

Capture 4K video but be ready for your camera to crash

Now, the folks over at AndroidPit have put it all on video, so people will have no doubt when wondering whether or not the Xperia Z3+ is plagued by overheating issues.

In the video published by the cited source, we can see that Xperia Z3+'s camera crashes almost always when certain modes are used. This happens because the smartphone is overheating, possibly due to the Snapdragon 810 chipset inside.

So, if you own an Xperia Z3+ don't use the phone's augmented reality camera mode because your camera will crash. Moreover, you won't be able to capture 4K video, or take too many pictures because the camera overheats and crashes immediately.

In fact, there's a chance that those 4K videos that you capture might be saved by the camera because the phone pops up notices that the camera has to close due to high temperatures, but it will save the recording.

Also, it appears that trying to launch the camera soon after playing a game on the Xperia Z3+ will almost always result in a crash.

Sony is said to have already acknowledged the issues with the camera and is now working on a fix, but that might take a while.
