Good news for Sony fans in the United States, as the Japanese handset maker has just confirmed its affordable Xperia M4 Aqua is now available for purchase in the country.

According to Sony Mobile US, the Xperia M4 Aqua is now available at Amazon for just $200 outright. Obviously, the unlocked version of the smartphone comes with US warranty, unlike the international variant which was already selling at Amazon US for several months now.

So make sure you choose the right version of Xperia M4 Aqua if you want to benefit from the US warranty, too. Keep in mind that the international model comes with just 8GB of storage, whereas the US version packs 16GB of internal memory.

It's also worth mentioning that Sony Xperia M4 Aqua does not support Verizon and Sprint LTE bands, but customers will be able to use it on AT&T and T-Mobile LTE networks.

The Xperia M4 Aqua ships with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system right out of the box, but it will be upgraded to Android 6.0 Marshmallow; we just don't know when for the moment.

The specs

Sony's mid-range smartphone comes with decent specs for the money you pay so that could be a great deal, especially for Xperia fans.

For example, Xperia M4 Aqua comes equipped with a 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, an Adreno 405 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.

As mentioned earlier, it packs 16GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

Furthermore, Sony Xperia M4 Aqua is IP68 certified (dust and water proof) and sports a 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution.

There's also a 13-megapixel camera on the back that features autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) resolution, as well as a secondary 5-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls and selfies.
