14 DAY TRIAL // The teams at 343 Industries and Microsoft are announcing that they are collaborating with the Seattle Sounders Football Club for a big marketing stunt that will see the team wear a special Halo 5: Guardians themed kit during their next match against the LA Galaxy on Sunday.
In addition, festivities linked to the video game will take place at the Xbox Pitch, with special appearances coming from a range of characters, including Master Chief and Agent Locke, and from iconic vehicles like the Warthog.
Those who will be in the stands during the coming Halo 5: Guardians sponsored Seattle Sounders match will also be able to get access to giveaways linked to the title.
The special kit worn by the footballers will also be offered to the public, with a limited number of jerseys available in the special shop of the stadium.
Bonnie Ross, corporate vice president at Microsoft Studios and head of 343 Industries, is quoted by the Xbox Wire as saying that "We are honored to partner with Sounders FC and have Halo 5: Guardians participate in this historic moment. We have so many Sounders FC fans at the studio, and we’ll be there in the stands cheering for them alongside the Master Chief and Agent Locke."
During halftime, Microsoft is also organizing a scavenger hunt for fans.
Halo 5: Guardians is one of the biggest titles of the fall season
A television commercial for the shooter debuted during Sunday Night Football and offered some story information to all those who have not been following the already extensive marketing campaign that Microsoft has organized.
Gamers can learn more about the narrative of Halo 5: Guardians by tuning in to the special Hunt the Truth podcast, which is entering its second season.
The new Master Chief-powered video game is designed to show off the power of the new Microsoft console, offering full four-player cooperative play for the entire campaign.
Gamers will be able to play from the perspective of the long-running protagonist but also from that of Agent Locke.
When it comes to multiplayer, 343 Industries is making a range of tweaks to Spartan movement and abilities, aiming to increase the dynamic nature of matches.
New Warzone and Arena modes are introduced, each of them targeting specific audiences.
Halo 5: Guardians will be offered only on the Xbox One starting on October 27.
