Samsung is pleasantly surprised by the traction sales of Z1 Tizen-powered smartphone got in emerging markets like Bangladesh and India.

The South Korean company confirmed it had sold more than 1 million units in these countries, which fueled Samsung's desire for full lineup of Tizen OS smartphones.

However, a full series of smartphones powered by Tizen OS will not happen overnight and Samsung is fully aware of that.

The good news is the next Tizen smartphones might arrive as early as late July. The folks over at SamMobile have it from a trusted source that Samsung plans to announce the Z3, the next Tizen-powered smartphone, during Tizen Developer Summit later this month.

If you intend to attend this event, you will be pleased to know that the South Korean handset maker also plans to offer the Samsung Z3 to all attendees, for free.

It's also worth mentioning that Samsung Z3 will be initially introduced in Bangladesh, India and Nepal, some of the most profitable markets for Tizen OS.

Unfortunately, we don't have any information yet on pricing options and availability, but we suspect Samsung will announce more on the matter later this month.

5-inch HD display and dual-SIM support

Samsung Z3 is said to come with a new version of Tizen OS and will feature better specs than the previous Z1 model.

In this regard, we know from various sources that Samsung Z3 will sport a 5-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution.

Furthermore, the Z3 will be equipped with a 1.3GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC7730S processor, 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory with microSD expansion (up to 64GB).

Also, the smartphone will pack an 8-megapixel photo snapper in the back (autofocus, LED flash, full HD video recording), a secondary 5-megapixel selfie camera in the front and a decent 2,600 mAh battery inside.
