A bit outdated but packed with handy and useful features

Samsung's latest S24E370DL Full-HD 24-inch display and 27-inch panel S27E370DS will come with a wireless charging pad on the base.

The two new displays want to encourage people to keep smartphones close to them, actually in their face, while they are sitting in front of their PCs. This could actually be a very useful feature for those who either come home or to work and go straight in front of their Samsung monitors.

They only have to pull their smartphone out and place it on their monitor base and it is already charging. No more forgotten or lost wires and searching for USB ports around your computer.

The new monitors will be launched by Samsung at IFA Berlin where the Korean giant will present the other features the new monitors come with.

From what we know, the displays will come with AMD's FreeSync technology and a 178-degree viewing angle, being built for current-gen games. For two non-4K gaming monitors, the displays actually come with some pretty useful features that will make the compromise worth it.

A slight display resolution compromise for a useful feature

Enjoying a handy smartphone battery charger knowing that you'll need to replace your display in just one or two years, when the 4K entertainment becomes absolutely mainstream, will make your investment well worth its cost.

The monitors further ensure comfortable viewing through a high-performance Plane-to-Line-Switching (PLS) panel. The PLS panel allows users to experience universally-optimized viewing with a 178-degree wide-viewing angle, as well as excellent picture quality with vivid and clear imagery delivered through a brightness of up to 300 cd/m2.

The SE370 series interface will also come with 1xHDMI (1.4), 1 DisplayPort (1.2) and 1x D-Sub. Quite handy ports availability although no DVI that is a bit weird to missing as it still caters to current-gen graphics cards. It has one DisplayPort but no 4K availability, it supports Full HD but it doesn't have DVI interface.

However, the new design is clean, white and glossy, and it does come with a very useful wireless battery charging base. Samsung will fully unveil these two monitors at IFA 2015 in Berlin this September.
