Many Samsung fans were disappointed (read outraged) because the South Korean company did not make the Galaxy Note 5 available in Europe until this year.

For unknown reasons, the handset maker decided that the Galaxy Note 5 would only be available in North America and some Asian countries while the rest of the world would get the Galaxy S6 edge+ instead.

Without making a study or a survey (or more), Samsung thought that customers would be happy with its decision to split the market for these two high-end smartphones.

Well, it looks like fans weren't so happy after all, which is why Samsung will not make the same mistake this year.

Samsung Galaxy S7 edge+ has been canned

First of all, it looks like we won't have a Galaxy S7 edge+ this year at all. Secondly, the Galaxy Note 6 will be rolled out globally probably in waves.

The information has been confirmed by a source with knowledge of Samsung's launch plans for 2016. According to TechRadar, this source says that “Samsung isn't going to launch the S7 Edge+ in the UK.”

“I got the impression that it had been a bit of a disappointment sales-wise and that the decision to keep the Note 5 out of Europe is now considered a mistake. So our information is that the Note 6 will launch in the UK in August and that there will be no S7 Edge+,” adds the source.

Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will be announced during a dedicated event this summer and is rumored to go on sale as early as August.

On the other hand, the Galaxy S7 and its curved sibling will be officially unveiled on February 21 and will go on sale at the beginning of March.

As mentioned earlier, Samsung will only launch two Galaxy S7 models as Galaxy S7 edge+ might have been canned.
