14 DAY TRIAL // Saints Row IV and Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell are two games developed by Volition and published by Deep Silver that have just landed on SteamOS.
Not all of the Linux plans for games are made public, and the same can be said about Saints Row IV and Saints Row: Gat out of Hell. Deep Silver is now working on bringing some of the games in its catalog to the Linux platform, and these latest additions are not the last ones.
The developers of the Saints Row series, Volition, was picked up by Deep Silver a while back after THQ declared bankruptcy. From the looks of it, Deep Silver really wants an early piece of the SteamOS pie and porting older games is a good way of doing that.

To celebrate, for a limited time you can grab Saints Row IV: Game of the Century Edition for 70% off, Saints Row: Gat out of Hell for 66% off, or the entire Saints Row Ultimate Franchise Pack for 66% off,” wrote the developers on Steam.
The good news keeps on coming. The developers are also working on ports for Saints Row 2 and Saints Row: The Third and they should land early next year. Also, both Saints Row IV and Gat Out of Hell will get full Steam Controller support as well.
Deep Silver has a lot of games in its Steam catalog, which would be nice to see on Linux as well, such as the upcoming Homefront: The Revolution, Dead Island 2, and a few others. We can only hope that other publishers and developers follow their lead and continue to bring games to SteamOS, strengthening the platform.
