14 DAY TRIAL // An image has appeared which seems to give gamers a first look at the coming Superman video game, which is apparently in development at Warner Bros. Montreal, the studio that is also responsible for the creation of the rather disappointing Arkham Origins entry in the Batman franchise.
The screenshot, which is relatively low in terms of quality and does not offer too much information on its own, was delivered on the Twitter feed of a source that offered access to confidential information before.
The image shows what seems to be the official entry for Superman from the new Warner Bros. Montreal title, with a description that includes the helpful hint that he is weak to kryptonite.
A lot of the fans who have seen the screenshots are saying that it looks very fake and that it was probably created by someone who is seeking to capitalize on the Easter Eggs about Superman which are included in the most recent Batman release.
Others believe that the information that Warner Bros. Montreal is working on a superhero title might be accurate but that the main theme and title are very different from what the rumor says.
A previous inside source stated that the studio was creating a title linked to the Suicide Squad movie and some think the image is proof that the experience will be modeled on the fighting game model, with Superman as one possible character choice.

The four Batman powered video games have managed to be very successful in terms of both critical appreciation and sales, even if Arkham Origins was somewhat disappointing for some fans and Arkham Knight currently has major problems on the PC.
A Superman game might be a good way to create another similar series, as long as the developers manage to find a way to take a character who is pretty much invulnerable and create interesting gameplay challenges around him.
The superhero was previously featured in the NetherRealms Studio created Injustice: Gods Among Us fighting game.
Warner Bros. will probably not issue an official comment about the leaked image before it is actually ready to announce a Superman powered video game.
