The development team at Capcom is ready to deliver more information about the extensive beta testing that it is planning for the upcoming Street Fighter V just as the unfinished version of the fighting title is set to be offered on the PlayStation 4.

On the official Capcom Unity blog, the company explains that gamers who have placed a pre-order for the title in North America should not have access to a key as long as they have used a retail chain and should use it on the PSN to get access to the beta.

Those who got the title on the PS Store need to manually download the client for the testing phase of Street Fighter V and do not need a key.

In Latin America, the title can only be obtained via the PlayStation Network.

In Asia, gamers can download a test ticket on the store, and in Japan the procedure is similar.

Those who are waiting for Street Fighter V in Europe and the rest of the world will need to sign up in order to get a chance to be selected for the testing period and should have an e-mail waiting for them as long as they are selected.

Notifications and access will be provided starting in the middle of July, depending on the territory.

Street Fighter V is also coming to the PC

No information about the beta process on platforms other than the PlayStation 4 has been offered so far, but Capcom has suggested that in the fall it will allow PC players to also get a look at the new mechanics of the title.

Street Fighter V is set to be launched in March of next year and there are no plans to bring it to the Xbox One.

Capcom says that it wants to significantly tweak the core mechanics of the series in order to make the experience more accessible while offering the depth that long-term fans are expecting from it.

So far, the revealed fighter list for Street Fighter V includes the likes of Birdie, Cammy, Chun-Li, M. Bison, Nash and Ryu, with more reveals probably coming when the beta is launched.
