Android developers respond to Apple’s first Android app

Apple released its first Android app ever, which is tentatively called “Move to iOS” in an attempt to persuade users of the Google OS to move to Cupertino’s team. Well, it turns out that die-hard Android fans didn’t take it all too kindly.

Insulted by the app’s blatant name, Android fans started pouring into the Google Play Store and giving the app low reviews (one star low). But two Android app developers found an even better way to show Apple that the Android fan base is not one to be messed with.

Jonathan Schiffner and Matthias Miro rolled out a pretty non-purpose but nevertheless funny app called “Stick with Android.” With it, the two devs want to troll Apple’s “Move to iOS” a little bit. The application per-se does not do anything, except it displays a green home screen that encourages users to “Stick with Android” and avoid moving over “another (worse) platform.”

The only thing you can do from there is tap the “Click here to stay on Android” button located in the center of the app, which will prompt a message that reads “Congratulations, you did it!” And voila, that’s it.

The app was launched not so long ago but it already managed to gather 5,131 five star reviews and only 108 one star reviews. Which means the app boasts a 4.9/5 rating, thus becoming one of the best-rated apps in the Play Store.
