14 DAY TRIAL // "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" is set to be released on December 17, and if you haven't had the chance to book a ticket for the early screenings, maybe it's time to think about a way to prevent spoilers until you get to watch the movie.
For this, we present you Star Wars Spoiler Blocker, a Google Chrome extension launched a few days ago that automatically scans all pages you access, and if it finds any mention of Star Wars on them, it shows an alert message over the entire page.
There's no way you can say you weren't warned with this extension installed, and it may be the best thing you can install in Chrome for the next month if you're really that big of a Star Wars fan.
The extension works similarly to another extension we wrote about in July, one that allowed users to blur out any mentions of the tiresome 2016 US Presidential Election. That extension also featured a customizable filtering system, so if you want, you can use that and block any Star Wars mentions as well.
Google has more Star Wars Easter eggs
As for other Star Wars news, in case you missed it, Google ran a promo campaign allowing users to pimp out their avatar and join the Light or the Dark Side of the force. Once a user chose a side, various Google and YouTube elements were pimped out in blue or red tints, depending on the side users went for.
And as a bonus, today, Google has also launched another Star Wars Easter egg, this time in Google Translate. You can now translate any text from any language into Aurebesh, a writing system commonly used to represent the Basic language in the Star Wars universe.
All these Google Star Wars Easter eggs are set to expire automatically on February 8, so take advantage of them while you can.
