Video game developer DICE and publisher Electronic Arts might have wanted to keep the alpha for Star Wars: Battlefront small in order to avoid as many leaks as possible, but the two companies have been unable to stop those taking part from posting a whole lot of details about the coming shooter.

A new video, showing combat sequences with both X-wings and AT-STs, arrived earlier in the day and a player has posted details about the graphics setting that are currently included and that gamers can use to tweak the experience on their PCs.

Resolution can, of course, be changed but Star Wars: Battlefront also allows gamers to modify a Field of View slider, which is one of the features that is among the most requested by fans of the genre, according to the official Reddit.

Post processing quality, terrain quality, mesh quality and ambient occlusion will also be offered in the graphics setting page for Star Wars: Battlefront.

DICE is apparently also introducing three special colorblind profiles for the shooter in order to make sure that it is accessible to as many gamers as possible.

Gamers are also reporting that the gameplay is smooth on a GTX 780 or equivalent graphics card coupled with an i7 3770 or equivalent process, reaching 60 FPS during most situations.

Given that this is the alpha stage for Star Wars: Battlefront many of the options might be tweaked by the development team at DICE before the actual launch date.

More optimization is being done by the studio

DICE has said that it is paying special attention to the PC version of its project because it wants to make sure that the entire power of the platform is used to deliver improved gameplay and graphics.

Star Wars: Battlefront will focus on the original movie trilogy and will take gamers to both familiar planets and to entirely new ones, like Sulluth.

The shooter will be focused on multiplayer and will not include a classic single player campaign, only a cooperative set of Survival missions.

Star Wars: Battlefront will be out on November 17 on the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One and the PC.

A piece of downloadable content called Battle of Jakku will be introduced on December 1 and offers content associated with the new movie, The Force Awakens.
