Electronic Arts and DICE confirm that they're going to open up access into the Star Wars Battlefront beta stage to all PC, PS4, and Xbox One users later today, October 8, at 10am PST (1pm EDT/6pm BST/7pm CET).

Star Wars Battlefront is eagerly awaited by millions of sci-fi fans from all over the world. The big shooter is set to be released in November, but in order to ensure that its online multiplayer, its servers, and its infrastructure work as intended, a special beta stage is set to roll out this week.

Battlefront's beta rolls out later today

Lucky fans were already invited early into the beta, and today, October 8, the test phase is set to open up to all gamers across PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms.

Star Wars Battlefront's Community Manager confirms on Twitter that fans across all three devices will be able to download the beta starting at 10am PST. That's 1pm EDT, 6pm BST or 7pm CET. It's unclear if all regions will get the test phase at the same time, so it's possible that some fans will be able to download it earlier or later than the official time.

The Battlefront beta weighs in at 11GB on the PC platform, where it will be available via the Origin digital distribution service. Meanwhile, PS4 and Xbox One users will only have to download 8GB of files via the PlayStation Network or Xbox Live, respectively.

The beta includes different modes and experiences

In case you forgot, during the Star Wars Battlefront beta, participants can take part in the Walker Assault mode on Hoth, Drop Zone on Sullust, and a Survival mission on Tatooine. There's a level 5 cap and all sorts of weapons can be unlocked via the progression system. Unfortunately, you can't carry over the stats or the aforementioned progression into the final version of the game.

The beta is set to conclude on October 12, worldwide, so make sure you take part in it sooner rather than later.

Star Wars Battlefront arrives on November 17, in North America, and November 20, in Europe.
