The new Rare Replay collection, which was created by the Rare studio and published by Microsoft only on the Xbox One, has managed to get to the top of the United Kingdom video game sales chart during its first week on sale.

This is the first time that a title created for this platform has managed the feat and it will be interesting to see whether it can keep its position for more than one week, especially given the high-profile titles that are coming to the market at the end of August.

Rare Replay is an ambitious package that appeals to the nostalgia of gamers and delivers all the titles the studio has developed, upgraded to run well on the Xbox One.

LEGO Jurassic World, the game based on the movie created by TT Games and published by Warner Bros., is in second place, finally relinquishing the top position that it managed to hold for quite a few weeks, according to UKIE data.

Another Warner Bros. title, Batman: Arkham Knight from Rocksteady, is in third place, losing one position because of the impressive performance that Rare Replay has delivered, although the PC version has still not been fixed by the development team.

The best of the rest

The Elder Scrolls Online has managed to gain two positions in order to land in fourth, presumably because gamers are interested in the MMO once more as the launch of the Imperial City downloadable content is getting nearer.

Grand Theft Auto V has lost two places and now sits in fifth, continuing a very solid run of sales for Rockstar, and it is followed by the aging FIFA 15 from EA Sports, which is on track to stay in the United Kingdom top ten until the next installment in the series arrives.

Battlefield Hardline, the shooter from Visceral Games and Electronic Arts, sits in seventh place as gamers are getting ready to get access to the second DLC package, called Robbery.

Rory McIlroy PGA Tour, the golf sim from EA Sports, is in eighth, followed by F1 2015, the racing simulation created by Codemasters.

The United Kingdom chart is closed down by the Xbox edition of the indie hit Minecraft, which has managed to gain two positions over the previous week.
