The development team behind the popular qBittorrent free open-source and cross-platform BitTorrent client software has announced today, March 29, 2016, the release of qBittorrent 3.3.4.

According to the release notes, qBittorrent 3.3.4 is the fourth maintenance version in the stable 3.x series of the torrent downloader application, and it brings a tremendous number of changes, consisting of new features, lots of cosmetic improvements, WebUI enhancements, and numerous bug fixes.

Among the more prominent new features of the qBittorrent 3.3.4 release are a "Hide zero values" option, support for unlocking the first column in peerlist, the ability to download more pieces in the "Download first and last pieces first" feature, as well as support for toggling columns in the peerlist.

Additionally, there's now a "remaining" column added to the torrent content model, it is possible for users to filter log messages by type, qBittorrent can now write the log to a file, and a "Never show again" checkbox / preference has been added to the auto-exit confirmation dialog.

The web-based interface has received many enhancements

Besides all the goodies mentioned above, qBittorrent 3.3.4 ships today with many enhancements to the web-based interface, such as the implementation of "Added on" and "Completion on" fields in the query and torrents query response sections as well as support SSL certificate bundles. Moreover, the built-in search functionality has received bugfixes.

"The Windows binary is compiled using Qt 5.6. You'll see a graphic glitch when hovering over the 'plus' sign in the content tree. It is a known problem, but Qt 5.6 brings fixes that justify using it despite the graphic glitch," reads today's announcement.
