14 DAY TRIAL // The development team at 343 Industries and publisher Microsoft are ready to confirm that gamers who have picked up a Halo 5: Guardians Limited Collector’s Edition can choose to exchange their digital code for a physical edition.
The Halo Waypoint official announcement explains that no extra cost is involved for those who make the choice, and more details will be announced when the title is closer to launch.
The two companies state, "Today, we’re able to confirm that for those who would like a physical disc, we’ll provide an option for fans to exchange their digital copy for a physical copy at no additional cost."
The announcement was made after the player community was not satisfied with the digital-only nature of the Halo 5: Guardians Limited Collector’s Edition and asked to get more options linked to it.
Microsoft is aiming to make the game the biggest launch of the year and a key title in the future of the Xbox One as a platform, and that means it needs to keep fans as satisfied as possible before launch.

Halo 5 will be out on October 27 and can only be played on the Xbox One.
