The development team at 343 Industries and publisher Microsoft are ready to confirm that gamers who have picked up a Halo 5: Guardians Limited Collector’s Edition can choose to exchange their digital code for a physical edition.

The Halo Waypoint official announcement explains that no extra cost is involved for those who make the choice, and more details will be announced when the title is closer to launch.

The two companies state, "Today, we’re able to confirm that for those who would like a physical disc, we’ll provide an option for fans to exchange their digital copy for a physical copy at no additional cost."

The announcement was made after the player community was not satisfied with the digital-only nature of the Halo 5: Guardians Limited Collector’s Edition and asked to get more options linked to it.

Microsoft is aiming to make the game the biggest launch of the year and a key title in the future of the Xbox One as a platform, and that means it needs to keep fans as satisfied as possible before launch.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is also getting tweaks

The title will soon be receiving a new Action Sack playlist, and there are more changes that are being explored, all of them based on the feedback the community has offered.

343 Industries is not saying when a new major patch might be launched, but gamers should probably expect details and an exact date before the end of the month.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection can get a boost once the Guardians launch takes place, as gamers will return to the title to experience the older installments in the franchise.

Halo 5 will be out on October 27 and can only be played on the Xbox One.

The title includes a cooperative take on the campaign for the first time in the series, a narrative with a focus on both Master Chief and Agent Locke and a tweaked multiplayer experience that gives Spartans access to some new powers.
