Since Pushbullet was launched on Android and iOS platforms back in the days, people have been asking for the option to send messages to their friends. Soon, this has become the most requested feature that Pushbullet fans wanted to be included in their favorite application.

Well, it looks like developers have finally listened to users’ feedback and added instant chat support with the latest update for Pushbullet.

According to the team behind Pushbullet, this is by far the largest update that application received since its launch on both mobile platforms mentioned earlier.

In the latest version of Pushbullet, users will be able to tap on a friend, and once they see their history with that person, they can easily send them a message or a file.

The message sent will be received no matter what device that person is using, so it can be either phone, tablet or computer. Moreover, those that receive something from a friend will be able to reply very easily.

New UI to facilitate sharing links and files with friends

But that is not all, as developers announced that their application has been completely revamped, so long-time users should expect some visual and layout changes to be included.

“Instead of a big chaotic list of messages, they’re now categorized based on where they came from. The most important category is Me, which are things you’ve shared between your own devices,” mention developers in a blog post.

The update brings a new and improved UI, more reliable sending of pushes and retry, reorganized history to be easier to browse, but also many bug fixes.

You can now download Pushbullet for Android for free via Google Play Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 4.0 and up.

For iOS users, the application is available for download via App Store. It should work smoothly on all devices running iOS 7.1 or later.
