On March 31, 2016, The Document Foundation Co-Founder Italo Vignoli announced the release plan for the upcoming major release of the world's popular free office suite, LibreOffice 5.2.

Now that everyone is happily using LibreOffice 5.1 on their GNU/Linux, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows computers, the time has come for the LibreOffice developers and hackers to concentrate their efforts on improving the acclaimed office software and adding new features.

Therefore, we report today that there will be a few bug hunting sessions this spring to fix any annoyances before the final LibreOffice 5.2 release comes out. The first one, for the LibreOffice 5.2 Alpha, is taking place later this month, on April 22, 2016, and the Alpha builds of LibreOffice 5.2 will be available for download by the end of April.

"Mentors will be available on April 22, 2016, from 8AM UTC to 10PM UTC. Of course, hunting bugs will be possible also on other days, as the builds of this particular Alpha release (LibreOffice 5.2.0 Alpha) will be available until the end of May," says Italo Vignoli in today's announcement.
