You’ll still pay monthly fees for the phone, though

If you live in the United States and plan to purchase a new Lumia phone running Windows 10 Mobile, Amazon might just have the perfect deal for you.

Starting today and running as long as supplies last, a free Lumia 950 offer at Amazon allows those living in the United States to purchase the device on an AT&T contract.

There are several things to be mentioned, though.

First and foremost, you won’t have to pay a single cent when signing the contract, and the Lumia 950 will be yours for free, but you’ll have to agree with a 20-, 24-, or 30-month plan with the American carrier.

Then, you’re not allowed to choose the model or version of the phone because the offer includes just the black version with 32 GB of storage space.

Needless to say, this does sound like a pretty good deal for those who do not want to spend the full price of the Lumia 950 at one time, but keep in mind that, even if you choose this offer, you’ll still pay for the device as part of your monthly fees.

Lumia 950 specs

Microsoft’s Lumia 950, which is the smaller brother of the 950 XL, comes with a 5.2-inch AMOLED screen that features a resolution of 1440x2560 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 808 processor and 3 GB of RAM, while also featuring 32 GB of internal storage space and microSD card support.

The 950 comes with a 20-megapixel camera that packs PureView technology and Carl Zeiss optics, but also with a 5-megapixel front unit for selfies and video calls. It also boasts fast charging, Continuum support, and a battery of 3,000 mAh.

Additionally, you get Windows 10 Mobile, the company’s new mobile operating system that will become available to Windows Phone devices sometime in early 2016.
