Let's file this under good news section, as Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL seem to be selling very well in North America. While this might be great news for Microsoft, it's not as good for those who were anxious to purchase the new Windows 10 Mobile smartphones and couldn't get one.

We reported yesterday that Lumia 950 XL sold out pretty fast at Microsoft Store US and that the only way to get one would be to visit Microsoft brick and mortar store locations.

Now it looks like Canadians have troubles in getting both Windows 10 smartphones. They are now sold out on Microsoft Store Canada, but customers can register to be notified via email on when the smartphones become available once again.

Also, those who did manage to pre-order the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL will now have to wait a while longer to receive their smartphones, MobileSyrup reports.

For example, Microsoft initially announced it would start shipping the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL on November 25. However, the Redmond-based company quickly changed delivery date for Lumia 950 XL pre-orders to December 11.

A small token of appreciation for its fans

Today, Microsoft informed customers who pre-ordered the Lumia 950 that they wouldn't be receiving their phones this month either. The company informed customers that it will start shipping the Lumia 950 on December 14.

The good news is Microsoft is now offering $25 credit to those who pre-ordered the Lumia 950, which can be used towards the purchase of the smartphone or accessories.

We can't say the same for those who pre-ordered the Lumia 950 XL, but who knows, maybe Microsoft will change its mind in the coming days.

Those who didn't manage to purchase any of the two Windows 10 Mobile handsets in Canada might want to try at Microsoft's brick and mortar stores because they are not available online anymore.
