Microsoft is about to launch two new Lumia smartphones

A few days ago, Microsoft “accidentally” listed the upcoming Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL flagships on their Microsoft UK website, so the whole world got to take a pretty good look at them (specs included) before they were taken down.

Anyway, as we get closer and closer to the launch date of the two Windows 10 Mobile flagships, we get more and more leaks centering on the two devices.

Even if the two phones haven’t been officially introduced by the Redmond giant yet, this hasn’t stopped a Russian retailer going by the name of Bayon from actually putting up the two models up for pre-order (as spotted at Onetile).

It seems like Russian customers are actually able to place a pre-order for the two devices, which have been listed with specs included. There’s an extra detail that pops out: it seems like the Lumia 950 XL will also be available in Dark Blue alongside the classic Black and White.

One thing is certain: the two Lumias are going to be very expensive

The smaller Lumia is apparently up for sale for approximately $865 / €750, while the larger model can be purchased for about $965 / €864. These are quite hefty prices, but given that Russia will be getting the dual-SIM variant, we supposed it makes sense.

Recently a Spanish retailer also leaked the supposed pricing schemes of the two Lumias, so we told you the Lumia 950 XL would be sold in the country for $838 /€671, while the Lumia 950 would be offered for $738 / €660. As you can see, the difference isn’t all that huge.

Anyway, if you have missed the scoop on Microsoft’s upcoming new flagships, you should know the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL are bound to arrive with 5.2-inch and 5.7-inch display, respectively, both boasting QHD resolution.

The larger model takes advantage of a Snapdragon 810 processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, while the smaller one relies on a Snapdragon 808 processor with the same amount of RAM and storage. The Lumia 950 XL works with a 3,300mAh battery, while the Lumia 950 has a smaller 3,000mAh battery.

The two phones both have USB Type-C ports, iris scanners, and are bound to arrive soon.
