As expected, Microsoft has just started to take orders for the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL in the United States.

Although the smartphones were briefly available for purchase at Microsoft Store US, only a limited number of customers could successfully pre-order either of the two Windows 10 devices.

Beginning today, November 25, customers can order the unlocked Lumia 950 for $550, and they should receive it in a day or two.

On the other hand, Microsoft Lumia 950 XL costs $650, but it won't be shipped until December 11, so keep that in mind before making your purchase. Both white and black color versions are available for purchase at Microsoft Store US.

Starting tomorrow, November 25, the unlocked Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL will be available for purchase at Microsoft retail stores in the United States.

Get them while they're hot

While the Lumia 950 has been up for grabs in the US for about a week now via AT&T, the Lumia 950 XL will be exclusively available at Microsoft Store, at least for a time.

There's no free Display dock bundled with Lumia 950 XL, so if you missed this offer last week, you wouldn't get it now.

We suspect the Lumia 950 XL stock will deplete pretty fast, so if you were planning to grab Microsoft flagship smartphone, then you might want to hurry with your order.

Keep in mind that neither of the two smartphones supports Windows Insider program, so you won't be able to install Windows 10 Mobile preview builds until Microsoft enables this feature.

The good news is the Redmond-based company is aware of the fact that many Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL owners want this feature enabled, and is working to bring support for Windows Insider program on both devices very soon.
