14 DAY TRIAL // While we're waiting for Microsoft to release Windows 10 Mobile for compatible Lumia smartphones powered by Windows Phone 8.1, here are a few more pictures showing the next budget-friendly handset coming from the Redmond-based company.
The new images leaked via French blog Windose show a gorgeous device. If not for the low-end specs rumored to be included in the Lumia 650, the smartphone would be very popular with Windows Phone fans.
There's no doubt about it, Lumia 650 looks almost perfect on the outside, in particular for a budget-friendly handset. The device, as shown in the pictures, will be available in either black or white color.
The metal frame adds to the stylish design of the Lumia 650, as well as the thin, candybar form factor. Since this is the standard version, it will come with a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution.
We've reported earlier today that a Lumia 650 XL model will be launched in select markets, which will come with a slightly larger 5.4-inch display with similar HD resolution.
Hopefully, it will be able to run Windows 10 Mobile smoothly
The smartphone is rumored to come equipped with a 1.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 (or 210) processor on the inside, coupled with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.
Also, Lumia 650 should pack an 8-megapixel camera on the back with autofocus, LED flash, and video recording, as well as a secondary 5-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls.
Microsoft's device will be powered by a 2,000 mAh battery and will be just 7.27mm thin. It will offer 4G LTE support, but the dual-SIM support might be limited to selected markets.
According to the latest hearsay, Lumia 650 will be launched on February 15. The smartphone will cost around €220 - €230 outright, but carriers might offer it for free on long-term contracts.
