14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft has just revealed the July 2015 Games with Gold lineup, confirming that, starting next month, there will be two free titles for both the Xbox One and the Xbox 360. In terms of actual games, solid titles like Assassin's Creed 4 or Gears of War 3 will arrive for free.
The Games with Gold program has been around for almost two years now, and Microsoft is still quite confident in the potential of the promotion, which offers free titles on Xbox 360 and Xbox One every month to active Xbox Live Gold subscribers.
July kicks off a new stage for Games with Gold
After making slight changes over the years, Microsoft says on the Xbox Wire that, starting in July, it's going to offer two free games on Xbox One, as opposed to one per month, in addition to the two Xbox 360 titles.
In terms of actual titles, Xbox One users will be able to enjoy Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and So Many Me.
The Ubisoft title was among the first Xbox One experiences released back in the fall of 2013 and still delivers a solid time on the Microsoft console, especially since Assassin's Creed Unity encountered a lot of issues last fall. Meanwhile, So Many Me is an independent puzzle platformer that tasks fans with using clones of a character to solve traps and defeat enemies.
Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag will be available as a free download between July 1 and July 31. Meanwhile, So Many Me will go live between July 16 and August 15.
Xbox 360 users will be able to enjoy Plants vs. Zombies, the famous tower defense experience made by PopCap many years ago, as well as Gears of War 3, the intense third-person shooter released by Epic Games that ended the main trilogy of the franchise.
Plants vs. Zombies goes free between July 1 and 15, while Gears of War 3 turns free between July 16 and 31.
Bear in mind that you need to have an active Xbox Live Gold subscription to enjoy these free Games with Gold.
