Designers create a new iPhone with curved edges

iPhone 7 is already in the works, and rumor has it that Apple plans to introduce it in mid-2016 (and not in the fall, as it did with previous models), but very little is known at this point about what it’s going to look like.

And it’s this lack of information that encourages skilled concept designers across the world to let their imagination fly, so an iPhone 7 Edge shouldn’t come as a big surprise.

The concept you see in this video was created by the team at ConceptsiPhone and proposes a new design that reminds of the Galaxy S6 Edge. The iPhone now has its very own curved edges, which do not seem to be as big as on the Samsung, but given Apple’s know-how to innovate, such a feature would clearly come in very handy for a number of purposes (such as notifications, for instance).

Proposed specs

This concept also proposes some hardware specifications, which, just like the design, could hardly make it to the next iPhone.

For example, the 5.5-inch curved 2K display could come together with a 3,500 mAh battery that would provide nearly 2 full days of battery. The A10 processor would be hidden under the hood and would be coupled with 4 GB of RAM.

Additionally, buyers would get a 16-megapixel main camera and an 8-megapixel secondary unit, as well as surround speakers for the best sound quality ever.

While the A10 chip might actually see daylight, it’s hard to believe that the iPhone 7 could come with a battery this big, especially because Apple is working right now to make the device as thin as possible. What’s more, 4 GB of RAM is just a dream on the iPhone right now, as the current model comes with 2 GB (that’s double the amount from the previous model).

Either way, an iPhone 7 Edge would be a dream come true for many people out there, but again, don’t get your hopes too high on this.
