Two simple steps to add it onto your iOS 9 device

The News app in the recently launched iOS 9 is designed to bring curated and personalized news articles from a wide variety of sources and to replace Apple's Newsstand.

Even though it shouldn't be very hard to make it available for users in any country around the globe, in true Apple tradition the News app is only available for residents of USA.

Although this might be explained by the unavailability of news sources from more exotic territories, Apple should have at least made it possible to enable it anywhere the user wants it with a simple switch.

Despite such an option not being available, users can still add the app to their iOS device running iOS 9 with a simple and straightforward tweak.

Step 1

You can do this by going to Settings > General > Language & Region on you iOS device and changing the region to United States.

Step 2

Restart your iOS device by holding down the Sleep/Wake button and then wake it back up by pressing the same button again.

After going through the above procedure, you should have the iOS 9 News app on your device' Home screen.

Even though you won't be able to remove it if you change your mind, you can still make it go away if you ever decide that you no longer want the News app on your device by simply changing back to the original region and restarting your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
