Apple has changed the appearance of the box

Since the launch of the first iPhone, Apple has included a color picture of the device on the box. With the launch of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, they seem to take another route. The front cover of the box has an embossed picture that looks like the iDevice inside and that's about it.

As usual, the sides have the Apple logo and iPhone and the back has all the technical specs of the device. When opening the box, you will not see a new layout. It’s the same booklet complete with stickers and the Sim tray cover opener tool.

Apple starts selling the new devices as soon as Friday morning. Millions of users worldwide will be able to get them shipped to their doors. The iPhone 6 starts at $199 (€153) and the iPhone 6 Plus is going to cost $100 more for somewhat similar specs but a larger screen.

Apple customers pre-ordered over 4 million devices in the first 24 hours since it was put on sale. Now Apple suppliers or manufacturers are having a hard time keeping up with the demand for the new models.

The new phones also run iOS 8. We have seen it showing up in everyone's Settings app menu, so you might have already tried that.
