Today we have some very good news for all Apple fans out there, as it appears the Apple will launch a gargantuan iPad model that will boast a large 12.9-inch screen and a 2K resolution, called Apple iPad Plus, according to FoxNews. Apparently, the 7mm thin device will sport a powerful 11,000 mAh Li-Ion battery and will weigh approximately 700g.

It appears that Rhoda Alexander, an analyst at market researcher IHS, told FoxNews via an email that Apple plans to release a 12.9-inch tablet later this year, “Our supply side (sources say) it’s a go for 2015. The release timing is fuzzy. It may not appear until Q4 (fourth quarter) with the other iPad updates. We are, however, getting input from both the component and [product] side that this is a real product, and part of their 2015 building plan.”

Of course, this is not yet confirmed by Apple, but the Apple CEO, Tim Cook, talked about the future of their iPad line in a recent event that took place earlier this year, in January. Same say that a new, large iPad will definitely be released sometime in the near future as a competitor to Microsoft’s Surface tablet. Others say that Apple will never release such a device, simply because it will undermine their 13-inch MacBook Air and MacBook Pro.

The Apple Watch event will take place on March 9, 2015

It remains to be seen whether Apple will announce such a giant iPad tablet later this year or not. In the meantime, you should mark your calendars for the “Spring Forward” event on March 9, where the pricing and availability information of the highly anticipated Apple Watch device will be revealed by the Cupertino company. The Apple Watch event will take place at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, USA.
