Immediately after announcing the final release of the highly anticipated Mac OS X 10.10.3 Yosemite operating system, Apple has pushed the iOS 8.3 software update to the App Store on iTunes.

iOS 8.3 is the third major release of the iOS 8 mobile operating system for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch users worldwide. Users of iOS 8.2 or the Public Beta version of iOS 8.3 can update to the final iOS 8.3 today.

To update, open the App Store app on your iDevice, go to General, and tap the Software Update entry. Wait for the iOS 8.3 update to appear, make sure that your device is charged (if not, plug it in now), and tap the 'Download' button.

iOS 8.3 will be downloaded and installed automatically. Please note that your device will be automatically restarted for the software update to be applied, which is nothing to be scared off.

Here's what's new in iOS 8.3

The list of changes implemented in the iOS 8.3 software update is huge. You can view it entirely before pressing 'Download,' by tapping the 'Learn More' button.

iOS 8.3 brings improved performance for Wi-Fi, Safari tabs, third-party keyboards, Messages, App launch, keyboard shortcuts, App responsiveness, and the Simplified Chinese keyboard.

There are numerous fixes for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, rotation and orientation, Messages app, CarPlay, Family Sharing, Calendar events, Safari, Exchange meetings, VoiceOver, VPN, Braille Screen Input, Speak Screen, and many other components.

iOS 8.3 also introduces a redesigned Emoji keyboard that now contains over 300 new characters, and improves the iCloud Photo Library component to work with the new Photos for Mac app introduced in OS X 10.10.3 Yosemite.

Last but not least, there's now support for Baum VarioUltra 20 and VarioUltra 40 braille displays, users can remove the billing and shipping address from Apple Pay, Siri was updated for several new languages, and the stability of many core apps has been improved.
