For the first time, Indian OEM iBall launched a camera-centric smartphone that won't cost a fortune. The mSLR Cobalt 4 is a truly unique device that provides users with enhanced imaging capabilities.

The main selling point of the mSLR Cobalt4 is the fact that users can connect lenses to its camera for enhanced photo capturing.

It's also worth mentioning that the smartphone comes bundled with lens mount and four lenses: zoom lens 8x Zoom, fish eye lens 175-180 degree view angle, macro lens 10x magnification and 10-15mm minimum object distance, as well as wide-angle lens 130-degree viewing angle.

In addition, iBall also throws in a pouch for lenses, along with a cleaning cloth, both available for free and included in the bundle.

According to a new report, the Cobalt4 will be available for purchase in India for just Rs 8,499 outright, which is about $130 or €115.

Moving on to specs, the iBall mSLR Cobalt4 sports a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports qHD (540 x 960 pixels) resolution.

It also packs a 1.4GHz octa-core Cortex-A7 processor, coupled with 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

The smartphone comes with HotKnot file transfer technology similar to NFC

On the back, iBall's smartphone is equipped with an 8-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, dual LED flash and video recording, while in the front there's a secondary 3.2-megapixel camera for video calls and selfies.

The device ships with Android 4.4 KitKat operating system right out of the box, and it's powered by a removable 2,000 mAh battery.
