14 DAY TRIAL // Big pieces of news arrive for Heroes of the Storm fans from Gamescom 2015 as Blizzard confirms that new characters, such as Kharazim from Diablo 3, Rexxar from Warcraft, and Artanis from Starcraft, are coming to the multiplayer experience, alongside a new map called Infernal Shrines.
Heroes of the Storm is one of Blizzard's newest properties but the multiplayer title is slowly but surely drawing in plenty of fans thanks to its free-to-play nature, not to mention the top-notch content that the studio keeps on releasing every few weeks.
At Gamescom 2015, Blizzard has made quite a few announcements concerning future characters and content that are coming to Heroes of the Storm.
Kharazim the Monk and a new battleground are coming soon
After confirming the character quite some time ago, Blizzard showcases Kharazim, the Diablo 3 monk, in all his glory in the fresh video available below. While only a few of his abilities are portrayed, the dual nature of both support and assassin is showcased, as Kharazim can pick a mantra at the beginning of a match and continue on that role throughout it.
Besides the new hero, the game is also going to receive a fresh battleground called Infernal Shrines. As you can see in the second video below, while the aesthetic is similar to the Battlefield of Eternity, which has just recently been added, its mechanics are tweaked.
The Diablo 3 vibe also affects its special events, which task players with defeating neutral minions near a pylon in order to summon a powerful beast to fight on their side.
Rexxar and Artanis are joining the fray soon enough
Last but not least, as you can see in the images below, Rexxar, the Warcraft hunter that's well known to Hearthstone players, and Artanis, the Protoss warrior from Starcraft, are confirmed to be the next characters that will join Heroes of the Storm, following Kharazim.
No word yet on when exactly the new heroes and map are going to arrive, but you can expect to hear more soon enough.
