Developer 343 Industries and publisher Microsoft have been talking a lot about the single player of Halo 5: Guardians recently, showing gamers the way the Master Chief led Blue Team is being introduced and giving them a look at Sanghelios in the new Enemy Lines mission.

A new leak of information delivered by a Reddit user meanwhile offers a look at the multiplayer side of the shooter, which offers a first look at the many customization options that gamers will have when it comes to their own Spartan character.

Gamers will be able to tweak their armor and their helmets using a variety of colors and initial designs, making sure that there's a clear way to see them on the battlefield.

343 Industries is also offering separate stances for the character in Halo 5: Guardians and there are also choices to make when it comes to the skins used by weapons.

Choices linked to the character and the equipment he uses will be entirely cosmetic, but players will be able to also select an assassination move to execute on the battlefield.

The images lack a little detail but do show a side of Halo 5: Guardians that the developers have not yet fully explored.

The leak also offers a look at the new REQ system, which is designed to allow gamers to get more options for their character as they spend more time with the title.

Halo 5: Guardians aims to make a big impact in the eSports world

Customization is important because it allows both players and teams to create unique looks for their characters, one of the requirements for a shooter that wants to remain important for the eSports space.

The Arena mode in Halo 5: Guardians is also introduced to cater to competitive tastes, with the development team aiming to offer a lot of options for both casting and spectating.

Gamers who want bigger maps and a more team-based experience will be able to play Warzone, a mix of PvP and PvE, and Capture the Flag.

343 Industries is aiming to add Big Team Battle and a number of maps linked to it soon after launch to give gamers even more choices.

Halo 5: Guardians is set to arrive on the Xbox One on October 27.
