14 DAY TRIAL // The next couple of weeks with be very interesting for smartphone users since Microsoft, Google and HTC are expected to unveil new devices.
Obviously, all eyes will be on Google and Microsoft events slated for September 29 and October 6, respectively, but HTC has something to show us as well.
Unfortunately, the timing doesn't seem to have been finely picked because the Taiwanese company will announce one or more Android smartphones on the same day Google will unveil its new Nexus smartphones, September 29.
While we don't know exactly what smartphones HTC might introduce in just a few days, rumor has it that the mid-range One A9 could be revealed.
Today, a new HTC smartphone has been spotted at TENAA, the One M9e. According to a new report, the unannounced handset has already been certified at the Chinese regulatory commission, which means it should be made official pretty soon.
A mid-range handset with high-end features
HTC One M9e seems to be a mid-range smartphone with high-end features. Even though it comes with a 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution, the handset is powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6795 processor.
In addition, the One M9e packs 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage inside, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.
Also, the smartphone packs a 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which features autofocus, LED flash and video recording, as well as a secondary 4-UltraPixel camera in the front for selfies and video calls.
Another piece of information confirmed by the listing at TENAA is the fact that the smartphone will run Android 5.0.2 Lollipop operating system right out of the box.
There's no word on pricing options and availability, but this one will most likely be introduced in China first. Hopefully, it will be announced sooner rather than later.
