What people and dogs went dressed in for Halloween

Halloween is here, and if you're looking for a last-minute costume, there are some topics you may want to avoid if you plan to stick out from the crowd. Aggregating everyone's costume searches, Google may be your best friend when choosing an outfit for yourself.

While Halloween has started being celebrated in all parts of the world, it is still an American tradition, and most Google searches come from there.

Being the busy bee that Google is, the company has put together a website, called Frightgeist, where you can check out costume search trends nationwide.

To summarize some of the data you'll find on there, we recommend you put the yellow wig down and avoid going out as Donald Trump this year.

If your kids want to dress up as Mal and Evie from Disney's Descendants show, try and make them change their minds as well.

Star Wars here, Star Wars there, Star Wars everywhere!

Star Wars has always been popular, but this year, thanks to the highly anticipated release of Episode 7: The Force Awakens, people have gone nuts about their old costumes once again. According to Google, dressing up as Princess Leia, a Stormtrooper, or Darth Vader is cool again, for the first time since the middle '80s.

If you like superheroes, avoid dressing up as Harley Quinn, Wonder Woman, the Joker, Catwoman, and Batman. But avoiding dressing up as a superhero should be on a Halloween "How to be cool" list, so don't choose superhero costumes if you're above the age of 10.

When going out together, couples preferred impersonating Bonnie and Clyde, Jasmine and Alladin, Woodie and Jessie from Toy Story, Danny and Sandy from Grease, and Barbie and Ken.

But people aren't dressing just themselves for this Halloween, as their small companions are also getting a costume as well.

According to Google, dog costumes has been a top search, and most of the times, the data has hinted that a lot of dogs will be squeezed inside a ewok costume. Other popular dog costumes include the yellow minion outfit, spiders, Yoda, and Chewbacca (that soon-to-be annoying Star Wars theme).
