14 DAY TRIAL // The GNOME developers are still working hard these days on the second milestone of the upcoming GNOME 3.20 desktop environment, which means that we should see more and more updates to various core components and GNOME applications.
The Evolution email and calendar software has been updated to version 3.19.2, which means that it will be distributed as part of the GNOME 3.19.2 release when it becomes publically available later this month. And just by looking at the internal changelog attached at the end of the article, we can notice that it is yet another major bugfix release.
Among some of the highlights of the changes implemented in Evolution 3.19.2, we can mention that the software is now following the GNOME notification settings for the GNOME Shell user interface, and it will no longer play sounds for each reminder. Moreover, it will honor the alignment of messages when sending HTML emails, and it's capable of setting reminders for tasks.
Additionally, the menu key has been updated to allow users to open the context menu in Contacts view, and a new option has been added to notify users about missing remote content. Also, deletion and undo of quotes now work correctly in the mail composer, a new button has been added to let users archive the current or selected email, and several EHTMLEditorView-related issues have been dealt with.
Over 50 bugs have been resolved
