Kodi 16 "Jarvis" has received a second RC, and the developers have managed to close a few problems that have been reported since the first RC.

The Kodi developers are close to their goal of launching the stable version of Kodi 16 "Jarvis," and they already detailed some the features and changes that have been implemented in this new branch. It's a massive undertaking, and it's going to be one of the most important releases made until now.

It's easy to see that they are finally homing in the stable version since very few things have been fixed since the previous iteration. Most likely we'll get at least one more RC before the final Kodi 16 "Jarvis" arrives, so let's see what has changed.

What's new in Kodi 16 "Jarvis" RC2

"Getting the first release candidate ready took a bit longer than we anticipated due to some problems along the way though they should be under control now. With this second release candidate, we added a small number of fixes that users brought to our attention. Since we only have a small team and we can’t test it all we must rely on users reporting potential problems on our forum, and we try to fix them within our limited spare time," developers explained.

According to the changelog, a number of additional fixes have been implemented for saving settings when switching between different profiles, the time-out when searching for audio devices has been increased, a crash that occurred when unplugging USB devices has been fixed, and a crash that happened when choosing Add Timer in EPG window has been repaired as well.

This is just a small part of what’s coming. Make sure that you read the full changelog below. You can download the latest version of Kodi from Softpedia. Also, keep in mind that some of the add-ons might not work with the new version.
