The Sabayon developers are happy to announce the release of their monthly rolling ISO images, dubbed Sabayon 15.11, which include all the updates that have been released during the month of October 2015.

The biggest new feature of Sabayon 15.11 is the addition of the Sabayon Server Edition, which, as its name suggests, is dubbed the perfect server-oriented operating system based on the latest Gentoo Linux technologies. It integrates the Calamares graphics installer, which has been modified to run on an AdHoc instance of the X Window System (X11).

"Sabayon 15.11 is a modern and easy to use Linux distribution based on Gentoo, following an extreme, yet reliable, rolling release model. This is a monthly release generated, tested and published to mirrors by our build-servers containing the latest and greatest collection of software available in the Entropy repositories," reads the announcement.

Vagrant and Docker images are now available for download

Among other interesting features implemented in the Sabayon 15.11 GNU/Linux operating system, we can mention the addition of Vagrant and Docker images. While users will be able to find barebone images of Sabayon Linux in VagrantCloud, which is now called Atlas, the Docker release of Sabayon can be found in the official Docker profile.

For the next releases of Sabayon Linux, the developers are planning to bring back support for the ARM hardware architecture so that you can deploy the operating system on Raspberry Pi 2 and similar devices, as well as Sabayon images for the QEMU and Oracle VirtualBox virtualization software.

Download Sabayon Linux Minimal 15.11, Sabayon Linux SpinBase 15.11, Sabayon Linux GNOME 15.11, Sabayon Linux Xfce 15.11, and Sabayon Linux KDE 15.11 editions right now from Softpedia. All of them are distributed as Live DVD ISO images that contain software packages optimized only for 64-bit (am64/x86_64) hardware architectures.
