Video game developer Rockstar is giving fans of Grand Theft Auto V plenty of reasons to celebrate Valentine's Day until February 18, with a range of new content, some price cuts on love-themed content, and a special game mode centered around the holiday.

The new experience is called Til Death Do Us Part and represents a new take on the Adversary Mode mechanics, with up to four pairs of players engaged in a match where each couple has one life to share. In other words, when one of them dies, the other commits suicide, with gamers also getting bonuses if they stick together.

The official Rockstar Newswire announcement states, "We all know the price of pleasing your true love on this day of romance can sometimes be costly. Prepare accordingly with Double GTA$ and RP in the brand new Adversary Mode Till Death Do Us Part. Work for each other, because if one goes - you both go. You'll either be skipping away down Lover's Lane, or laying like lovers slain."

A special playlist centered around the mode is also live, and gamers have the option of picking up a new Firework launcher and ammunition for it if they get through the entire list of offered matches.

Players will also earn more RP when playing with another gamer, and there are price cuts for all submachine gun ammo, and GTA V Online also features free admission to Tivoli Cinema, the Ten Cent, and Oriental Theaters as well as the Ferris Whale and Leviathan roller coaster.

Nelson in Naples and An American Divorce are the special T-shirts that are featured for the Valentine's Day event for GTA V Online.

Rockstar is also running a special Snapmatic contest, which gives gamers a chance to tag entries for a chance to get a 1 million virtual currency reward, and there are also new Social Club sweepstakes, with Rockstar also planning to run a Twitch stream featuring the new content.

GTA V Online also features new vehicle and more clothing options

Gamers can go to the Legendary Motorsport to get a special version of the Roosevelt Valor that comes complete with a range of tweaks, and when it comes to clothing, the community can use new suits, dresses, bustiers, stockings, and boxer shorts.

The Valentine's Day update for GTA V Online is substantial and should keep gamers engaged until February 18.

Rockstar has not yet talked about its plans for the video game for the rest of the year, but new content for the multiplayer-focused mode is certainly planned for the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4, and the PC.

Rumors have also been talking about a new single-player downloadable content pack, which might introduce an entirely new character and a new area for players to explore.

Rockstar is known for only making reveals about content when it has all but completed development on the core new areas and characters, which means that both an official announcement and a launch might take place in the second half of the year.
