This is not a major update, but it's full of fixes

Valve has released a new major update for Team Fortress 2, the first-person multiplayer game that is still among the most played games on the Steam platform.

Team Fortress 2 is a free-to-play game that puts a big emphasis on items that can be equipped in games and less on providing users with advantages over the other players. The fact that you can sell and buy hats seems to be a very successful model for Valve, and this is probable one of the most profitable titles developed by Valve.

Even if it's been released for quite a long time, the fact that it's still played and has a huge community prompts Valve to release patches often. Most of the time, it's just about various balancing fixes, but new items are sometime being brought, and the devs also need to make sure that new campaigns are integrated properly.

What's new in the Team Fortress 2 update

According to a changelog, LBTF2 Highlander Season 2 and LBTF2 6v6 Season 11 tournament medals have been added, an "Unusual Effect" checkbox for the Steam Workshop import tool has been introduced, a client crash related to the material system has been fixed, a lighting bug with static props has been corrected, and the slosh sounds used for footsteps has been updated.

Moreover, the Spy Sapper is now drawing on robots in Mann vs. Machine mode, and a case where the Stat Clock model would float in the air while the player was taunting has been fixed.

Team Fortress 2 features a large number of multiplayer modes, such as Capture the Flag, Control Point, Payload, Arena, King of the Hill, and more. Players can choose one of the nine classes: Scout, Soldier, Pyro, Demoman, Heavy, Engineer, Medic, Sniper, and Spy.

Check out the official changelog for Team Fortress 2 for more details about the update. As usual, users just have to start Steam and wait for the game to update.
