Killing expectations is what ZURB does on a regular basis. Today the company has released version 6 of its UI framework, the famous ZURB Foundation toolkit.

Everybody's favorite Bootstrap-alternative, the ZURB Foundation frontend framework, has always seen a lot of usage among Web developers.

With today's 6th branch release, ZURB is boasting of having reduced the framework's codebase by 50%, half the size of Foundation 5.

Additionally, ZURB devs have also introduced full accessibility (ARIA) support by making the code A11y-friendly but also adding a special package for handling UI animations, with two dozens of various built-in transition and animation classes.

Besides the built-in support for npm, Meteor, Bower, and Composer, Foundation can now also be installed via a custom CLI tool and a new Mac desktop app called Yeti Launch.

Other cool new Foundation features include a much more customizable Sass-based grid system, an alternative Flexbox grid, and over 15 new templates and 50 ready-made components to easily assemble Web pages together.
