Football Manager 2016, the latest in the famous series built by SPORTS INTERACTIVE, will arrive on the Linux platforms in just a couple of months.

Football Manager 2016 is published by Sega, a company that has already shown that it's interesting in Linux users. Also, the guys from SPORTS INTERACTIVE are now at their third game for Linux players, since both of their previous releases have been ported as well.

"Taking control of any squad from more than 50 countries across the world, you decide who plays and who sits on the bench, deal with the media and solve player problems. You're in total control of tactics, team-talks, substitutions and pitch-side instructions as you follow the match live with the acclaimed 3D match engine," is noted in the Steam synopsis.

The makers of Football Manager 2016 promise to bring some new modes, including Create A Club, Fantasy Draft, and Manager on the Touchline. Users should expect to see a much better matchday experience, enhanced balancing, more realistic injuries, improved press interaction, and a lot more features.

Everyone will be able to play it

As usual, the system requirements for the game are quite low, and almost anyone should be able to play it. Users will need at least Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (other distros will probably work as well), an Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon 1.8GHz+ CPU, 2GB of RAM, an NVidia GeForce 7300 GT, AMD Radeon HD 2400 Pro, or Intel HD 3000/4000, and 3GB of available space.

Football Manager 2016 is now available for pre-purchase on Steam for Linux, which provides some interesting bonuses. First of all, you'll be able to play the game two weeks before anyone else by getting access to the Beta version. Secondly, An Alternative Reality: The Football Manager Documentary will be made available in the Steam inventory,

Football Manager 2016 launches on November 13 for Linux, Windows, and Mac OS X.
