FIFA 16 has managed to establish itself firmly at the top of the United Kingdom video game chart after its late-September launch, and it seems that a number of coming launches might have trouble displacing it from that position.

The development team at EA Sports has launched two title updates for the football sim, even if one of them is currently only offered on the PC, in order to eliminate some bugs that the community has been reporting and to improve overall gameplay.

FIFA 16 is also getting Team of the Week deliveries, and gamers will also soon get access to a number of other events created by the developers to keep fans engaged.

LEGO Dimensions has managed to take second place, according to Media Create data, on its first week on sale, showing that there's a lot of life left in the toys and video games segment.

The game from Warner Bros. has managed to deliver more units to fans than rivals Skylanders from Activision and Disney Infinity 3.0 from Disney.

It's unclear whether this is because of the breadth of content that it offers or because it is the newest of the entire lineup.

NBA 2K16, the basketball simulation from 2K Sports, has managed to take the final position on the podium for the week that ended on October 3.

The best of the rest

The Taken King package for Destiny, the social shooter from Bungie and Activision, is in second place after losing two positions over the previous week, and is followed by another title that saw a solid drop, Forza Motorsport 6, the racing experience from Turn 10 and Microsoft.

Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer is one of the rare Nintendo titles that have managed to get into the top ten on launch.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, the final title in the series that Hideo Kojima worked on, is now in seventh place, one position ahead of the Superchargers package for Skylanders.

Grand Theft Auto V from Rockstar might be an old title but it has managed to stay in ninth place.

The final position of the United Kingdom top ten is occupied by Mad Max from Warner Bros.
