Gamers can use console commands to progress in the story

Fallout 4 is having a better launch for most players than the previous installments in the series created by Bethesda did, but there are still some major problems with the title that the developers have not yet tackled and that have the power to affect a player's experience.

The most recently discovered one is linked to the Monsignor Plaza area, with a crash affecting all those who try to head to it to deal with a particular quest.

The problem is present on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, and the best idea for players is to avoid the area altogether for the moment.

Fans on the official site have been trying to find ways to work around the bug, which only makes an appearance once the gamer has progressed past a certain point in the story of Fallout 4 (the thread linked is filled with spoilers).

The community has managed to create some interesting workarounds that will allow gamers to complete the majority, if not all the quests associated with the Monsignor Plaza area by using console commands to push the game forward or to allow players to move around the world instantly.

Bethesda is probably aware of the issue but it has not offered any information on a patch for Fallout 4 designed to eliminate this issue and others that the player community has been talking about.

Fallout 4 will get downloadable content in 2016

The new open-world post-apocalyptic title managed to generate sales of more than 12 million units during its first day on store shelves.

Fallout 4 has also sold more than 1.8 million units via digital distribution services on all platforms, with 1.2 of those linked to Valve's Steam and the rest shared by the PlayStation Network and the Xbox Live.

Bethesda needs to deal with bugs as fast as possible to make sure that potential customers continue to pick the game up for Christmas and beyond.

Fans of Fallout 4 are already able to pick up a Season Pass for the title, which is designed to offer access to a range of downloadable content that will arrive next year.

No clear details have been provided about the kinds of new adventures that the studio plans to launch, but gamers can expect to have access to new storylines, more area to explore, extra weapons, and even unique enemies.

Todd Howard, the leader of the team that created Fallout 4, has suggested that player feedback will be very important for the development of DLC, which might be an indication that work on it has not yet started in full.

The new content that has been offered for Fallout 3 has mostly been well received, and it will be interesting to see how the community influences the expansions that are coming for the new title.

Fallout 4 also has extensive support for mods, and that means that the community can put together its unique adventures.

PC gamers will benefit the most from this feature, and Bethesda and Microsoft will also deliver the best community-made content on the Xbox One.
