Dishonored: Definitive Edition is now available in North America for PS4 and Xbox One. In honor of the launch, publisher Bethesda and developer Arkane Studios have revealed the launch trailer, as well as a few interesting details about the way the game takes advantage of the PS4's DualShock 4 controller or PS Vita Remote Play features.

Dishonored launched a few years ago and delivered an old-school stealth adventure experience that brought together first-person mechanics seen in the likes of the old Thief titles, as well as mystical abilities that made the action more attractive to those who didn't favor stealth all that much.

The game became a hit, and after releasing several DLC packs and expansions across PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, Arkane Studios and Bethesda started working on the Definitive Edition, which launches this week on PS4 and Xbox One.

The Definitive Edition of Dishonored is rolling out and has a launch trailer

The title already made its debut yesterday in North America and is scheduled to reach store shelves in Europe and the rest of the world on Friday, August 28, for the two home consoles.

In honor of this achievement, a new launch trailer filled with gameplay sequences from the Dishonored: Definitive Edition is available for your viewing pleasure below.

The new version takes advantage of the PS4's features

What's more, in order to highlight the PS4 version of the game, Arkane Studios confirms on the PS blog that several features take advantage of Sony's home console.

First up, the DualShock 4 controller can output game sounds through its speaker, such as Power whispers or the Heart's voice, not to mention the Spyglass.

The touch pads on both the DualShock 4 and the PS Vita - if you're using Remote Play - can also be used to access Heart powers for protagonist Corvo or Void Gaze for Daud.

It's unclear if any extra features are available in the game's Xbox One version.
