No ETA on when the problem will be solved

The team at Bungie in charge of the smooth running of Destiny is announcing that gamers on both the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 3 are being affected by connection-related issues and that they are moving as fast as possible to make sure that they are dealt with quickly.

The information comes from the official support account associated with the game, but it seems that the company does not know at the moment what's causing the trouble.

It's also unclear why gamers on the Xbox One and the 360 are not affected, given that this is not an issue at the moment for other titles offered on the Sony platforms.

Bungie is also not offering an ETA for the moment when the connection problems will be eliminated but will continue to offer updates on social media.

Yesterday a wider issue was associated with Microsoft platforms and earlier in the week Destiny has a problem with the rewards associated with the new installment of the Iron Banner event, which were not offered when matches were completed.

Fans have suggested that the development team should update the infrastructure supporting the social shooter to make sure that the impact of such problems is limited.

The Taken King is coming on September 15 for Destiny

Bungie is in the difficult position of having to deal with the day-to-day running of the shooter while also working on the biggest expansion for it, which is set to be offered to gamers in a little more than two months.

The Taken King will have a storyline centered on the return of a powerful boss called Oryx, who is coming to the solar system in order to take out those Guardians who have killed his son Crota.

The dreadnought that the character commands will offer a major new area for players to explore, complete with more enemies and a range of new rewards that will allow their characters to grow.

Bungie is also planning to introduce more strikes, including some that will only be offered to those playing on PlayStation devices.

At the same time, the exclusive content from last year is being upgraded before it is offered to all those who are playing Destiny.

Until The Taken King arrives, the game might get smaller patches to deal with problems that the community is flagging.

UPDATE: The problems have been solved, Destiny should run without any issues once again.
