A brand new set of Dark Souls 3 details have leaked online, this time mentioning characters that are more agile, new mechanics like a Ready Stance, as well as a few ideas from Director Hidetaka Miyazaki, who's overseeing the world design and general systems.

From Software's Souls series has delighted tens of millions of role-playing games from all around the world over the years, and the most recent Bloodborne, which is more of a spiritual successor, impressed many PS4 owners at the beginning of the year.

Last month, at E3 2015, From Software and Bandai Namco confirmed, after a few leaks, that they were working on Dark Souls 3 and that it would appear on PC, PS4, and Xbox One in 2016.

Since then, only a few details have appeared about the RPG. Now, unfortunately for the two companies, another leak has surfaced, via NeoGAF.

More specifically, a subscriber to Edge magazine has posted some of the things explored by the cover story, focusing on Dark Souls 3.

First up, Director Hidetaka Miyazaki mentions that there is no strict team structure at From Software, so fans shouldn't worry that the "B team" is working on the new RPG, after the main group focused on Bloodborne.

He is currently focusing on world design and mechanics and emphasizes that the general approach isn't that different from that to Dark Souls or Bloodborne. However, after having worked on the PS4 exclusive RPG, Miyazaki mentions that he's come to see what will really make Dark Souls 3 unique.

Mechanics focus on agility and surprise

In terms of gameplay mechanics, players are more agile this time around, and there's a new attack mode called Ready Stance, which lets them perform new moves, such as a dual-wield spin. Enemies don't roam in mobs but they will appear from unexpected angles, in order to challenge players.

Miyazaki also mentions that From Software fans want interesting and worthy games, so he hopes to satisfy them with Dark Souls 3.

Expect to hear and see more of the new RPG in the following months, possibly at Gamescom 2015 in August.
