The community is always listening to the users

If you have any questions regarding new features and apps that are present, absent, or in the works for the Ubuntu Touch platform, you need to know that there is already a comprehensive wish list out there that takes care of everything.

Users are always proposing new features for Ubuntu Touch or they say they want certain apps to be ported to the platform, but the developers and the community are always listening. It's very likely that any kind of apps or features request is on the huge wish list put together by an Ubuntu user, Sturmflut. He's been doing a lot of interesting things for the platform and it's not the first time we've heard of him. He's also the one who managed to install Desktop Next edition of the Ubuntu 15.10 (Wily Werewolf) on a Lenovo ThinkPad 8 tablet.

The truth of the matter is that Ubuntu Touch is still a young platform, so any wish list that you put together is going to be a big one. It's happened with Android, Windows, and iOS, so it will happen with this platform as well. The good thing is that Ubuntu is an open source platform and all the development is done in the open. You can always download the latest version and install it, and that is true to unstable versions that are still being worked on.

The Ubuntu Touch wishlist is big, but it's getting smaller

New apps and features are being added all the time, so the wish list is getting smaller. On the other hand, as more people use Ubuntu phone, more items are being added to the list.

"Canonical has released OTA-4 by now, bq released a second phone, a shiny new Meizu phone is being sold in Europe, we are already waiting for OTA-5 and Convergence is slowly coming together. Woohoo! If you are thinking about developing a new app or scope, there has never been a better time than now! I am quite happy with the format I came up with back in May. Entries marked with the (UPDATED) have moved since the last list. Entries marked with the (NEW) tag have been added since the last list, but that does NOT necessarily mean that the app was not in the store before!" reads the entry on Sturmflut's blog.

We're not going to list everything here; you'll have to check his website, but please remember to check the list before asking for stuff. Chances are it's already listed.
