The Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016 event takes place these days in Barcelona, Spain, and Canonical, the company behind the Ubuntu operating system, has a strong presence there with a huge stand to show off its latest products.

We've already told you, guys, what Canonical prepared for this year at MWC, so we recommend reading that article first if you want to get up to speed on what the free software company is doing right now at the biggest mobile event of the year.

As mentioned in the respective article, Canonical's new Ubuntu-powered products, the BQ Aquaris M10 Ubuntu Edition tablet and Meizu PRO 5 Ubuntu Edition smartphone, are going to be one of the main attractions at MWC 2016, along with the Ubuntu convergence, of course.

And boy, we were right! Canonical has proudly announced earlier today, February 24, 2016, that its BQ Aquaris M10 Ubuntu Edition tablet won the "Best of MWC" award from Trusted Reviews, a well-known technology news and reviews website.

BQ Aquaris M10 Ubuntu Tablet and the road to convergence

Yesterday, we published an article to show you, guys, the first hands-on video review of the BQ Aquaris M10 Ubuntu Edition tablet, where one of the editors of Xataka, a well-known Spanish technology blog, tested the Ubuntu convergence.

"We've won at MWC16! Big thanks to Trusted Reviews for the Best Of MWC award for the BQ Aquaris M10 Ubuntu tablet," said Canonical on their Google+, Facebook, and Twitter accounts, the latter being attached at the end of the article.

Of course, the Ubuntu Tablet is not the only winning product of Canonical at MWC 2016, as we believe that the new Meizu PRO 5 Ubuntu Edition smartphone is also a winner, and it's the best Ubuntu-powered mobile phone to date.
