On August 7, Canonical, the company behind the world's most popular free operating system, Ubuntu Linux, was proud to announce the launch of a brand-new Scope for its Ubuntu Touch mobile operating system used in several Ubuntu phones.

Dubbed Film Scope, the new Ubuntu Touch Scope was designed from the ground up to allow users to watch movie trailers, discover film choices, as well as to read movie reviews on their Ubuntu Phone devices, be it either BQ Aquaris E4.5, BQ Aquaris E5 HD, or Meizu MX4 Ubuntu Edition.

On this occasion, Canonical teamed up with the famous DJ Yoda hip-hop turntablist to launch a new competition where participants can win Ubuntu phones, as well as several other goodies, such as DJ Yoda's "The Breakfast of Champions" CD album and two tickets to the Bestival 2015 music event where you can meet DJ Yoda.

"We’re inviting the public to create their own Sci-Fi film GIFS where DJ Yoda will judge the best. All we ask is that you be as creative and original as possible," says Amrisha, Social Media and Campaign Manager at Canonical. "We close on Monday 17th August at 5pm (BST) - can’t wait to see your entries!"

Here's what you have to do to win an Ubuntu Phone

Those of you who want to win an Ubuntu Phone device or any of the goodies mentioned above, must create the most original Sci-Fi film as a GIF image, which must be uploaded to their Twitter account using the #UbuntuGoesSciFi hashtag.

However, you should hurry up, because the last day for submissions is Monday, August 17, 2015, at 5 pm (BST). Don't forget to drop a comment below if you won an Ubuntu phone. Good luck!
