There are also changes to weapons and grenades

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 might be the biggest video game launch of the year, and the development team at Treyarch wants the title to offer players the best possible experience, and that means the core mechanics are open to tweaks based on the feedback offered by the community.

After the multiplayer beta offered earlier in the fall, the studio says that it has made a number of changes to the title, all of them designed to address the concerns of the fans, as expressed during testing.

On the official PS Blog, David Vonderhaar, the studio design director at Treyarch, says that Black Hat equipment was judged as being too powerful in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, which means that hacking time has been extended, including for higher end rewards.

Players who engage in the activity are also shown on the minimap as a red dot, allowing the rest of those engaged in battle to try and hunt them down while they are vulnerable.

Rejack was also controversial during the beta, and the developer says, "putting a player into Rejack counts as a kill. Players receive kill credit immediately in-game, on the scoreboard and leaderboard, and in persistent stats. Rejack now also resets all Scorestreak progress so that it cannot be used continuously throughout a match to pad progress towards high-level Scorestreaks."

Vonderhaar also reveals Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will feature a cap on the flinch mechanics, and a red kill marker is being used to give more information to players.

Treyarch is also tweaking grenades

The studio explains that moving downward or backwards no longer affects the trajectory, and the team has also toned down the stun time for the concussion version by 1 second, while allowing gamers to unlock early a perk that makes flash bangs less effective.

The Hardpoint game mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 gets a new Time in Hill stat, and escorting the robot in Safeguard now offers bigger score rewards.

More details are being provided by both the Kill Cam and Final Kill Cam, and Treyarch is also planning a range of balancing changes for the weapons.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will land on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 on November 6, and gamers can also pick it up on older home consoles, although the single-player campaign will not be included.
